Your experience with South Pacific Helicopters takes you on a journey above one of New Zealand’s most unique marine life canyons. The food produced here supports a diverse variety of marine life including many species of whales that migrate through the area such as humpback, southern right whales, blue whales, and of course the mighty sperm whale: the world's largest toothed whale.

Once you have spent time viewing the wild marine life, relax and enjoy the scenic flight along the rugged coastline of Kaikōura to the world class Hapuku Kitchen. Owner & Chef Fiona Read, will greet you from your flight and take you on a tour of Hapuku Kitchen. At its heart, Hapuku Kitchen is focused on reconnecting the kitchen to the land and sea, celebrating the abundant larder nature has to offer - taking inspiration from the wild Kaikōura landscape. They will invite you into their stunning home, located between the soaring peaks of the Kaikōura mountains and the wild Pacific coast of Aotearoa New Zealand, for a culinary adventure that celebrates the season. After the tour, relax and enjoy a seasonal long lunch featuring the very best ingredients caught & foraged from the region. A shuttle will take you back to your accommodation.
